Same camera quality and capability for the same money except this camera body is smaller. Lots of nice features on the on board software. My camera has software version 1.0. Sony is pretty bad about issuing updates but i expect an update sometime. It was bought with the wide angle lens attachment and a zoom lens. If you buy the camera get those lenses. The work great.
