Better than I expected!, April 25, 2012 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Ricoh CX5 10 MP CMOS Digital Camera with 10.7x Optical Zoom (Pink) (Electronics) After studying many cameras, I decided on the Ricoh because of it's cmos sensor that is slightly larger than most pocket cameras. Any camera can only be as good as the sensor that is used, and this has the better cmos sensor instead of a ccd sensor. Being only 10MP didn't worry me, more MP doesn't always mean a better picture, and most pictures I will ever take with a pocket camera will be at a lower resolution anyway, making them better for viewing and sharing with a computer. The setup menu is easy to navigate and understand, display controls are also easy, and menu's to adjust settings just before a shot are easy and fast. The optical zoom works very well, giving crisp pictures at the high zoom settings, and the macro zoom is easy to apply, giving excellent close up pictures. The auto focus is crisp, both outdoors and indoors in low light. Redeye reduction on the flash worked well. The only small complaint is that the flash is positioned where it is easy to get a finger in the way... Read more
